A pleasant stroll along the banks of the River Ciron takes you into the heart of the forest, where former resin makers passionately explain their trade, which has now disappeared.
From February to October, the resiner never leaves the woods. From the preparation of the tree at the very beginning of the season, to the barrascot (the end of the work), the resin maker travels through the pine forest. Wives and children often help out as well.
The Friends of Bernos-Beaulac Heritage invite you on a tour to discover the history of this activity in the Bazadais region and the skills still practised by the resine growers.
