L’Aquitaine ensorcelée : Une soirée au Château Loubens-propriété de Pierre de Lancre le célèbre « chasseur de sorcières » to Sainte-croix-du-mont

On Friday 19 June, Château Loubens in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont will host a special evening to mark the publication of the book *L’Aquitaine ensorcelée*. Witches and Wizards from the 14th to the 19th Century, by François Bordes, published in the Figures collection by Éditions Memoring in partnership with the Société de Borda.

Programme

6 pm – 7 pm: Guided tour of Château Loubens

Historian and tour guide David Souny will introduce visitors to this remarkable medieval fortified house, its impressive cliff of fossilised oysters, as well as the chapels and cellars carved into the rock by its successive owners.

7.30 pm – 8.30 pm: Lecture

François Bordes will present his book *L’Aquitaine ensorcelée* and discuss the major witchcraft trials.

From 8.30 pm: Tasting of the estate’s sweet wines and book signing with the author
