An original production based on the work of Victor Hugo

It has been three years since Victor Hugo’s *Les Misérables* took centre stage at the Grand Kabarov.

An experimental orchestra based in Saint-Macaire, comprising mainly non-professionals, bringing together around twenty musicians and narrators, sometimes joined by like-minded friends (dance, music, vocals), the Grand Kabarov has been drifting with the currents for the past eight years within its local community, as part of the En Avant Toute2 association.

This adaptation is an original creation: narrative choices, original music and stage design. It offers a particular perspective on the work, with a desire to bring to life Hugo’s prose, thoughts and reflections on his era, which still resonate today.
