Born in 1940 in Carcassonne, Claude Marti is one of the emblematic singers of the “new Occitan song”. His first concerts at the end of the 1960s marked the start of a career that has included more than 2,000, in Montségur and Larzac, in small villages and on the stages of major festivals. In his house on the hill, he talks about his family roots, the languages of his childhood and youth in Carcassonne, his political commitments, his job as a teacher, his career as a singer and writer, his support for many struggles, his deep friendships with winegrowers, singers and writers. The film is enhanced by old photos and extracts from a concert filmed in 2022.
