The son of farmers, Mathias Bonneau initially fled the countryside where he grew up. But after two years studying architecture, he immersed himself in the family forests and decided to become a woodcutter. Based on the story of his first twelve seasons in the woods, this text reflects on manual labour and what he calls “the forest virus” …
