Radio programme: The Garonne, at its source to Cadillac-sur-garonne
Le 24/07/2026As part of the La Grande Traversée event, “Garonne, à la source du lien” is a one-hour radio programme recorded in front of a live audience, broadcast to mark the close of the La Grande Traversée event organised by the Convergence Garonne Community of Communes.
Structured around two themed panels bringing together experts, organisations, elected representatives and local residents, the programme explores three key questions: the origins and history of the river, the ways in which it has been used and the memories it has shaped, as well as the Garonne today, focusing on biodiversity conservation, river management and changes to the region.
The first panel is devoted to the history and memories associated with the river, featuring a historian, a local organisation and a local resident.
The second segment addresses contemporary issues relating to biodiversity and the current uses of the Garonne, featuring a naturalist and a committed local organisation
