Village de Sauviac to Sauviac
The village of Sauviac, just a few kilometres from Bazas, is accessible via the small roads that make the southern Gironde countryside so charming. There is a hiking trail leading from Bazas via Sauviac. For the more curious, it is possible to see the village’s private 17th-century château from the road.
The 11th-century Romanesque church of Sainte-Praxède was restored in the 19th century. It has a panelled nave and two Romanesque capitals on the chevet.
