Art lecture: ‘Vermeer, the Astronomer… One painting, one lecture and a thousand perspectives’ to Podensac

To mark European Heritage Days, ESPASS in Podensac invites you to an art talk open to all, offering the chance to discover or rediscover a masterpiece by Johannes Vermeer: *The Astronomer*.

The talk will be led by Pierre Chaveau, a distinguished artist, teacher of drawing and art history, and specialist in the art of copying. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he will share his perspective as both an artist and a teacher on Vermeer’s work.

Beyond the painting itself, he will also present his own work and several variations he has created based on the painting.

For two hours, as it has done for some time now through this lecture series, ESPASS will once again bring culture to a venue where different generations and audiences can meet, share and forge connections.

No prior knowledge of art history is required.
