Discover Le Carrosse by Xavier Veilhan, famous for its appearance in the courtyard of the Château de Versailles, welcomed in the grounds of the Gascon residence. The Château du Ducal de Cadillac invites you on a timeless journey, at the crossroads of heritage and imagination.
Presented for the first time in 2009 in the courtyard of the Château de Versailles, Xavier Veilhan’s work is a 1:1 re-reading of one of Louis XIV’s carriages. A milestone in the artist’s career, Le Carrosse is emblematic of his research into perception. Initially produced as a digital drawing, it represents the irruption of an immaterial image into real space.
