CHARLES-EDOUARD WOISSELIN is a journalist and film critic, and the passionate creator of the Cinécure podcast, in which he uses these monthly episodes to shine a light on independent and heritage films, as well as the people who created them. Convinced that a love of cinema should be shared and accessible to all, and always committed to an educational and accessible approach, he puts the films into context to better reveal their richness and modernity.
He will be present before the screening to put the film into its historical context, then will return in detailend of the screening on political cinema – particularly European political cinema, which reached its peak in the 1960s and 1970s – and will discuss not only the tropes specific to these films but also how *Main Basse sur la ville* influenced the movement and paved the way for the emergence of major figures.
