On the occasion of European Artistic Crafts Days, Chantiers Tramasset is opening its doors for an immersion into the heart of a historic shipyard, which has been in operation since 1837. Initially a marine carpentry business, then a community centre dedicated to passing on skills since 1997, the site continues to bring the river to life. On the programme at 10.30am – Guided tour, 3.30pm – Activity to raise awareness of tools and wood, 4pm – Guided tour with two voices “History & trades”. Throughout the day, you can discover an exhibition on how the old shipyard operated, watch a short film about the carpentry trade, and visit the site with the Archistoire app. In the evening, there will be a storytelling fashion show accompanied by storyteller Claire Caellot and musician Ramzi Dakhli on the n’goni, followed by a short concert.
