PREMIERE SALLE – Christian DUC
After attending classes at the Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux for 2 years, taking part in various training courses and attending various painting workshops, it was in that of pastel painter Anne d’Aressy that he discovered and became interested in the technique of dry pastel, a technique combining both drawing and painting.
While pastel is soft to the touch, it has a velvety feel that contrasts with the intensity and power of the colour he loves.
His paintings are, on the whole, figurative.
Most of his painting remains figurative. Over time she has tended more and more to go towards the essential, simply retaining emotion by removing secondary objects while favouring colour and light.
SECOND ROOM – Exhibition dedicated to the Commune with presentation of historical documents, from Napoleon III to the beginning of the 20th century.
