Push open the gate to the Cemetery of the Forgotten, the silent starting point of a journey through more than four centuries of memory. The cemetery’s staff will accompany you, acting as guides through history, to reveal its hidden facets. You will then cross the threshold of the hospital chapel, before passing through the courtyard ofto reach the pilgrims’ cells — vestiges that are still very much alive, as walkers on the Way of St James still stop there today, perpetuating a centuries-old tradition of hospitality.
The tour continues with a stroll through the grounds, where centuries-old trees bear silent witness to the passing of time and the lives that have unfolded in these places. The tour ends in the lobby of the administration building, where an exhibition by Siriona is on display.
