On Sunday 13 September at 5.00 pm, the final lecture by Florence Mothe in the series “Initiates, Utopians and Visionaries” will take place at Mongenan Castle in Portets, ahead of the publication of a book on the same theme by Éditions Dervy.
Originally dedicated to the architects of utopia, this event will highlight the role archaeology has played in recent years in the study of prophetic and biblical texts, whether it succeeds in validating their claims or in exposing the legends that have fuelled them.
What is true, and what is false? This is what Florence Mothe will reveal during this lecture, as the subject continues to be enriched year on year by the discovery of new, unexplored sites and numerous documents, some of which provide precise dates that the historians of the time had not yet revealed to us.
