Podensac’s municipal culture committee welcomes the Compagnie GIVB for a one-off performance of “Naître”, a poignant and funny show that explores the issues surrounding parenthood, the desire for children and the construction of identity.

On stage, Barbara, a 41-year-old mother of two who gave birth at home, and Stéphane, a 45-year-old childless homosexual, engage in a sincere and often humorous dialogue. Their long-standing friendship becomes the setting for a profound exchange on what it means to be “born”: giving birth for one, discovering oneself for the other.
Between laughter and confidences, the two characters share their experiences of life and the world around them.
