Captieux, a village located in southern Gironde, within the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, is accessible via the ‘Cœur d’Aquitaine’ motorway exit. It is here that, every year since 1993, two passions that drive Aquitaine come together: rugby and bullfighting. Sport, art, celebration, traditions and conviviality are celebrated during three days of the feria.
Friday: gourmet market, concert & dance
Saturday: rugby – tournaments & gala match, Bodega evening
Sunday: 11am: Novillada without spears organised by Fiesta Garona. Manuel León, a rising star from Badajoz, and Jules Dujols ‘Julio Martin’, a promising talent from the South-West, with erales from the La Espera ranch
5.30pm: Novillada with spears organised by Rugby y Toros.
International line-up: Emiliano Osornio, Mexican prodigy; Álvaro Serrano, Spanish star; and Clovis, a great French prospect; novillos from the Gallon ranch.
