As part of its prevention initiatives, the Centre Intercommunal d’Action Sociale du Bazadais, in partnership with the Bazas gendarmerie, is organising three information meetings dedicated to the safety of senior citizens. The aim of these meetings is to raise awareness among the region’s elderly population of the various forms of scam, whether at home, by telephone or online, and to give them the right reflexes to protect themselves.
At the end of each meeting, there will be an open forum for participants to ask questions and share experiences.
These information meetings aim to prevent malicious acts such as thefts, intrusions, abusive canvassing, fraudulent calls and bank fraud.
