The Château du Hamel, proudly camped above the junction of the Garonne and the Garonne Canal, offers an outstanding viewpoint. The current buildings date from the 16th century, but rest on the foundations of a fortified site built in the 14th century by Guilhem de Goth, nephew of Pope Clement V. Henri IV stayed here in 1585.
