The walls of this residence contain a rich and varied history:
The main portal bears the initials of the painter Joseph Antoine Batanchon (died 1812 in Lestiac sur Garonne). Founder of the Bordeaux Academy of Painting in 1768.
The wine merchant, Monsieur Calvet de Lestapis, former owner of Château Tauzia in Gradignan, a wine merchant lived in the dwellings at the end of the 19th century.
The current dining room was even used as a public collection room…
