Rollerblading – Chalet François Mauriac – Saint-Symphorien to Saint-symphorien

Stage 1

Leave the water tower car park and follow the road towards the

side entrance to the park. At the first junction, ignore the paths on the left and

right and take the one in the middle. A few metres to the left is

a signpost detailing the paths of comets. Continue towards the footbridges, which offer views of the wetlands and the La Hure stream.

Stage 2

After this brief detour via the footbridges, head back along the path to the right to return

to the access road leading to the chalet and turn left towards the chalet. Walk past it

and turn right to get back to the car park.

A holiday destination frequented by François Mauriac as a child and now owned by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the Chalet Mauriac opens its doors to writers, filmmakers and creators of new forms of writing.

The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region has entrusted ALCA with the planning and organisation of the writing residencies at Chalet Mauriac, in Saint-Symphorien.

“ Les Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, leisurely walks, with a pushchair or small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), organised by the Gironde branch of the French Hiking Federation”.
