Réserve naturelle géologique de Saucats-La Brède to Saucats
Languages spoken
Just three minutes from Château de la Brède, come and discover the history of our region 20 million years ago, a time when Aquitaine was covered by the sea and had a tropical climate…
The guided tour begins with the museum’s collections (shark teeth, corals, tropical shells) and continues with a short walk through the forest along a riverbank, where you can admire, amongst other things, thousands of fossils in the open air.
Workshops for children (aged 6 and over) are available on various themes, ranging from discovering fossils, flora and fauna to creating temporary artworks or sensory exploration activities.
