Château Fayau – Vignobles Médeville to Cadillac-sur-garonne
Length of visit : 60 minutesLanguages spoken
In 1826, Jérôme Médeville bought Château Fayau. 7 generations later, Jean and Marc Médeville are at the head of Vignobles Jean Médeville et Fils. Accompanied by a young, dynamic team, they carry on the family tradition with passion, respect and professionalism.
Vignobles Médeville now has almost 200 hectares of vines spread along both banks of the Garonne: the left bank with Graves and Sauternes, and the right bank with Cadillac and Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux.
Concerned about the impact of their business on the environment, Jean and Marc are involved in a number of different initiatives. The entire vineyard has been certified ISO 14001 since 2013, HVE 3 since 2017 and Terra Vitis from the 2019 vintage. Since the 2020 vintage, the wines from one of the properties – Château Gabelot – have been certified organic.
