Located 40 minutes from Bordeaux, in the heart of Sauternes, Château Guiraud, the first of the 1855 First Growths to obtain AB certification (2011), has been welcoming visitors in search of fine wines and nature for over 30 years.
Arriving via the ancient Gallo-Roman road lined with 181 plane trees, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the 128 hectares of the wine estate. From novices to seasoned enthusiasts, everyone is invited to discover the château’s pioneering approach to agroecology, which places biodiversity at the heart of its thinking and practices. Whether it’s a stroll through the vineyards, an introduction to permaculture in the vegetable garden, a tour of the cellars or a tasting of the estate’s wines, the Château Guiraud team is attentive to its guests’ needs in order to tailor a visit that suits them.
