David SOUNY – Stories from the stones to Rions

As well as being a qualified guide and lecturer, David Souny is also a historian and archaeologist, and offers you the chance to discover or rediscover the heritage of the Bordeaux region, and particularly the Entre-deux-Mers area, on around 15 different tours (the medieval towns of Rions, La Réole and Saint-Macaire, the fortified town of Cadillac and its château, the abbey of La Sauve Majeure, the site of Sainte-Croix du Mont, the châteaux of Benauges, Génissac, Bruignac, etc.). He will also accompany you through the streets of Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion.
During his tours, he will share the latest discoveries in archaeological and historical research in an entertaining and educational way. He will show you numerous old documents (drawings, plans and photos) to help you better visualise and understand the evolution of the site and the remains that have disappeared.
