Cancelled – Captieux Fat Ox Festival at ESAT to Captieux
Event cancelledLanguages spoken
Certified Label Rouge since 1997, Bazas beef is the pride of the South Gironde region.
Descended from the finest Bazadaise, Blonde d’Aquitaine and Limousine beef cattle breeds, Bazas beef is selected from approved and qualified farms in an area stretching from southern Gironde to part of the Landes region.
Captieux celebrates its finest specimens, reared and fattened at the ESAT (Ferme du Grand Lartigue). This year’s innovation will be that all the festivities will take place on the ESAT’s airial. Meet at 10:30 a.m. for the traditional parade of fat cattle (circuit inside the ESAT) led by the Ripataoulère de Gans ‘Lous dé Bazats.
Visits to the barn and workshops, exhibition of old tools, farmers’ market, sale of ESAT products, activities related to livestock farming starting at 9:30 a.m. (marking, etc.). A meal is planned, reservation required.
