Cinema machine workshop – 130 years of Gaumont to Bazas

The Vog cinema and the Bazas media library are joining forces to bring you a range of cinema-related activities for families over the summer, as part of the Gaumont Retrospective.

In 2025, Gaumont is celebrating 130 years of cinema and emotion, an adventure that began in 1895 thanks to the bold vision of Léon Gaumont.
“Since cinema has existed”.

“For as long as cinema has existed”. For once, a tagline neither lies nor exaggerates: on 10 August 1895, the articles of association of “Léon Gaumont et Cie”, a general partnership, were signed in Paris. Léon Gaumont was the managing director. Gustave Eiffel was one of the limited partners.

5pm: mediation at the media library, followed by a snack at the Vog at 5.45pm (syrup and sorbet bar)

6pm: screening of “Belle et Sébastien” by N. Vanier
