At the age of 11, Camille Elbaz discovered the rare ability to control her dreams – not only their content, but also the way they unfolded.

Having taken up a contract post within the French National Education system, the author began secretly writing down the stories of her dreams, firmly convinced that they held real potential and genuine significance.

At the age of 27, her ability took on its full meaning when she received her diagnosis: she has Asperger’s syndrome.

Today, she sees her ‘lucid dreams’ as a sort of second chance – one that allows her, as an autistic person, to better understand the different aspects of the world we live in, in the most neurotypical way possible.

Published in 2024, her novel ‘The Second Life of an Immortal’ recounts her journey.
