Event: Heading for the Garonne in southern Gironde! to Cadillac-sur-garonne

Whether you’re a nature lover, history buff or simply curious, discover the Garonne in all its glory through a three-day programme of events across the region from Lestiac to Castets-et-Castillon.

The festivities kick off on Friday 11 September at the port of Cadillac with a guided canoe trip to watch the tidal bore.

Saturday 12 September: in the morning, a nature walk with l’Auringleta in St Macaire, a guided tour of the Garonne Canal with Mr Garras, a visit to the lock and an exhibition with VNF in Castets et Castillon, the Mascaret festival from 6pm in Podensac and the Cale festival in Lestiac

Sunday 13 September: Guided tour of the Cyrano de Bergerac steamship in Cadillac, walk along the banks of the Garonne in St Macaire, guided tour of the canal to Château du Hamel by Mr Garras, guided tour of Château du Hamel in Castets by the owners, exhibition.
