Exceptional visit to the Caussarieu mill to Prechac

The Sud Gironde Patrimoines association is offering a hike followed by an exceptional visit to the Caussarieu mill, between the Château de Cazeneuve and Préchac. Dating from the 15th century, this mill has preserved all its wooden machinery. On this exceptional three-level tour, you will discover how the cereal was transported to the mill. The Ciron also served as a means of transport for the wood. The history of the rafters and millers is inextricably linked to the day-to-day difficulties of rafting and milling. Photographs will illustrate this confrontation.

Please bring suitable footwear and water. In the event of heavy rain, the visit will be postponed.

Access to the mill is not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
