Exceptional visit to the Caussarieu mill to Prechac

The Sud Gironde Patrimoines association is offering a hike followed by an exceptional visit to the Caussarieu mill, between the Château de Cazeneuve and Préchac.

This mill, dating from the 15th century, has preserved all its wooden machinery. In this exceptional visit, you will discover on three levels, the course of the cereal until its milling.

In addition, the Cazeneuve mill is a must-see.

The Ciron also served as a means of transporting timber. The history of the raftsmen and millers is inseparable in the daily difficulties of the passage of the rafts and the operation of the mill. Photographs will illustrate this confrontation.

Please bring suitable footwear and water. In the event of heavy rain, the visit will be postponed.
