This exhibition traces the history of the towns and villages of Gironde during the Middle Ages, from the 11th to the 14th century. It explores the development of the department, highlighting the emergence of towns such as Libourne and Saint-Émilion.

The event is taking place as part of the Bazas Heritage Days, complementing the range of exhibitions on offer in the Gironde.

Through a rich and well-documented exhibition, this exhibition traces the evolution of our towns, from the first bastides to fortified villages.

A fascinating insight into the architecture, social organisation and daily lives of the men and women who shaped the Gironde landscape.
