“I started painting 15 years ago now. After a few years of formal lessons with an art teacher (as part of my company’s leisure programme), I stopped to set out in search of my own artistic style. Curious to understand my own creative process, I had to study the lives of painters and the origins of their paintings in parallel to make sense of it.

I work with a variety of tools. I enjoy creating connections by blending techniques, media and textures. I am influenced by modern painting, which offers creative freedom. I am naturally drawn to transforming the subject of a painting and reworking it. The Impressionist, Fauvist, figurative and abstract movements inform my creative exploration.

Through my art, I give form to a concept using a combination of colour and material.”
