Exhibition: “The Bazadais moors, the forest told” to Bazas

Hear the wind blowing through the damp undergrowth…
Discover, in this second half of the 19th century, the pastoral life of the first shepherds perched on their stilts, the golden age of resin collectors and sawmills, and traditional wood pigeon hunting.

This moorland is also home to a wealth of flora and fauna… happy memories of a daily life that has now been forgotten.

So take to the paths for a bucolic stroll through the forest with its objects, crafts and traditions of the past.

An exhibition designed by the heritage and culture department of the town of Bazas, composed of private collections and local archive documents, all in a large reconstructed setting.
