Exhibition – “Words that Connect” to Bazas

The Collective for the Fight Against Illiteracy and Digital Illiteracy in Southern Gironde presents a travelling exhibition as part of the National Days for the Fight Against Illiteracy in September 2026.

It will be on display from 7 September to 2 October in five libraries and media centres across the region. It is entitled ‘Words That Connect’. Highlights will be organised in each library or media centre

that host it. There will be screenings of short films followed by personal accounts, readings, a collage workshop on the theme of hope, activities centred on writing, and a demonstration of a text-reading pen.

The aim of this exhibition is to raise awareness of the fight against illiteracy and the difficulties involved in identifying and engaging people who could benefit from basic literacy training.
