“Forests” with the Frac Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA

Forests occupy 34% of the surface area of our territory, making Nouvelle-Aquitaine one of Europe’s leading forest regions. By devastating 30,000 hectares of forest, the fires of summer 2022 in Gironde will have left a lasting mark on the environment and on people’s memories. The exhibition will focus on the forest, which occupies such a special place in our region. How does it influence artists, and how do they represent it? Photographs by Jean-Luc Chapin and a video installation by Chloe Dewe Matthews are the starting point for this sylvan expedition.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2.30 pm to 6 pm and Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 6 pm.
Exhibition open on Sunday 21 September from 3pm to 6pm for the European Heritage Days.
Exhibition closed on public holidays.
