The course is open to anyone with some singing experience; there are no theoretical or religious prerequisites.

In this course, you will discover the fruits of 2,000 years of musical tradition through the practice of psalmody, the use of antiphons, the study of Latin prosody, and the singing of psalms and hymns: a repertoire encompassing both monodic and polyphonic forms. You will sing at the lectern, as has long been the custom.

Traditional sacred chant requires work on individual tone, natural vocal technique and the acoustics of the venue, so that “the stones sing with us”! It is only through the vibration of sound that psalmody can rise in a spiral.
