Group readings – Childishness to Bazas

The media library invites you to a session featuring group readings focusing on childhood, children’s place in society and power relations.

Through picture books, novels, non-fiction texts and discussions, we will reflect together on the concepts of infantilism and childishness, as well as the various forms of domination that can affect children within the family, at school or in society.

An opportunity for reading, sharing and discussion, open to everyone.

This event is organised in partnership with the LIRE bookshop in Bazas.

‘Infantism’ refers to the prejudices, discrimination and practices that devalue children simply because they are young, whilst ‘childism’ refers to the ideas and campaigns that seek to combat such discrimination and defend equal respect and rights.
