With this exhibition, the Centre culturel des Carmes pays tribute to Jean-Bernard Gueneau, a faithful and discreet photographer who recently passed away.

For more than 15 years, Jean-Bernard accompanied the programming of Les Carmes with constancy and passion. At every performance, he was there to capture the key moments and the unique atmosphere of the live show. Today, his work is a precious visual memory for the town’s cultural department.

An attentive and demanding photographer, he shared a selection of his photographs at the end of each season in a much-anticipated and much-appreciated exhibition. This June, we wanted to pay tribute to him with a non-exhaustive retrospective of his work. It brings to a close a long-standing collaboration, marked by rigour, sensitivity and great artistic quality.
