History of art – The book in painting by Isabelle Beccia to Bazas

The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux is honoured to invite you to a new conference, presented by Isabelle Beccia, a doctorate in art history and in charge of institutional mediation at the institution.

This meeting will provide an opportunity to explore the fascinating theme of the book, not as a reading object, but as a recurring and symbolic element in the visual arts.

Through a selection of works, Isabelle Beccia will offer an in-depth analysis of the representation of the book in painting and sculpture.
