Watkins is a regular at Cinéstaminet, as we have screened both the short and long versions of his famous film: LA COMMUNE. A former BBC reporter, he has incorporated media criticism into all his films, asserting that every image is the result of a choice of frame, point of view and narrative. This cinema raises the question of how we, as viewers, see things. Come and discover PUNISHMENT PARK. This film is inspired by an emergency law passed by the Nixon administration during the Vietnam War. PUNISHMENT PARK is conceived as a political fable, filmed like a news report.
