The Masquer to Lestiac-sur-garonne

The Mascaret consists of a series of waves similar to a swell.

There are usually 4 to 5 large waves, reaching up to 2.5 metres in height, spaced approximately 10 metres apart. They are followed by a very choppy area. The whole system moves at a speed that depends on the depth, ranging from around 15 to 30 km/h depending on the location.
