Ile de Raymond to Paillet
Languages spoken
Raymond Island, formed by a backwater of the Garonne running alongside the towns of Rions, Paillet and Lestiac, is the last remaining alluvial wetland in the Gironde. Restored and open to the public, the island serves as an important educational resource, enabling everyone to reconnect with the Garonne and nature. A wide range of guided tours are organised throughout the year.
