The Sleeping Beauty Fairy to Toulenne

Languages spoken

‘A castle surrounded by brambles. A valiant prince enters. As he passes, the brambles give way to beautiful flowers. In the castle’s highest tower lies a sleeping princess. Moved by her grace, the prince leans over her. When suddenly, just as he is about to kiss her… A fairy interrupts him! For millennia, she has been telling the story of Sleeping Beauty. But today, it’s one time too many. She can no longer bear these dusty, unquestioned clichés

. She, who was there at the little princess’s cradle, decides to set the record straight about the legend. Highlighting the issues surrounding the lack of consent in the original tale, step by step, the fairy convinces the prince to write a new love story together, thereby offering the tale a new ending, a new path.”
