Visit the tree-tapping website. Gilbert Bouic, accompanied by a few members of the Friends of Heritage, will introduce you to the craft of tree-tapping in the Gascon dialect. You will discover the art of resin tapping in the Ciron Valley, the practices of the trade and how harvesting techniques have evolved over the centuries, the history of the ‘pot Hugues’, the expertise and life of the sharecropper-resin tapper in the forest…

Please note: for those who wish, there is the option to continue this exploration of resin tapping with a meal at 12.30 pm at the restaurant La ferme des Filles de Captieux (€20, booking required via the Lou Vesin Resource Centre).
