Laure Julian Dallet presents an exhibition in which portraiture, abstraction and a dialogue with the great masters of art history intersect. Through these various series, the artist invites visitors to take the time to observe, contemplate and cast a fresh eye on people, living beings and the works that have come before us

For me, painting is about immersing life in poetry and distilling its very essence. Intention, labour, concentration, technical skill: self-sustaining energy. Reed pen, brush, pencil, ink, acrylic, collage: I explore, I tinker, I let things unfold.

Laure Julian Dallet presents two series: ‘Anonymes’, close-ups of elderly people’s faces where wrinkles and emotions become landscapes; and ‘Abstraction’, an exploration of lines of force and the energy accumulated between figuration and letting go.
