Malis lives in a home for the elderly. She speaks little, doesn’t always recognise her children, but in her eyes shines a mischievous gleam. Her memories are there, intact, sometimes more real than the present.
In this show, there’s an old lady with slanting eyes that glisten with moisture, the rays of the summer morning sun, a caring carer, a clown from nowhere, and echoes of the past: a war, exile, a new beginning and love.
