The Château des Mailles estate has belonged to the Larrieu family since 1734. It is located on a clay-limestone hillside in the commune of Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, facing the Garonne and resting on huge fossilised oyster beds. Facing due south, the vineyard covers 23 hectares, 18 of which are given over to white vines and 5 to red vines. Traditions are still respected by Laurence and her team of women, with manual harvesting. The wine is vinified in vats before ageing in oak barrels and bottling after three years.
